In Wednesday's non-league match, the host Grosse Pointe South Blue Devils softball team scored a tight 3-2 victory over the Lake Shore Shorians.

The Blue Devils (2-1) will now prepare for their match against L'Anse Creuse (Harrison Township, MI). The Lancers go into the non-league match with a 0-3 record. In their last match, L'Anse Creuse was nipped by L'Anse Creuse North (Macomb, MI), 9-4, in a non-league match.
