The crowd at Wednesday's non-league bout between the Wilmington Greyhounds (New Wilmington, PA) and the visiting Hickory Hornets (Hermitage, PA), observed Wilmington's softball team get by Hickory by a final score of 1-0.

The Greyhounds (6-1) will now prepare for their bout against Mercer (Mercer, PA). The Mustangs go into the District 10 Region 1 bout with a 4-2 record. In their last bout, Mercer was nipped by Karns City (Karns City, PA), 4-3, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Hornets battle the Slippery Rock Rockets (Slippery Rock, PA) in a bout, on Thursday, April 10. Hickory will attempt to better on its 1-5 season record. The Rockets go into the bout with a 0-5 record after their 7-0 non-league loss to Jamestown (Jamestown, PA).
