The crowd at Wednesday's non-league bout between the Hoover Huskies (Clendenin, WV) and the visiting Independence Patriots (Coal City, WV), observed Hoover's softball team get by Independence by a tally of 4-0.

The Huskies (11-2) will now prepare for their bout against Sissonville (Charleston, WV). The Indians go into the Cardinal bout with a 2-8 record. In their last bout, Sissonville was routed by Winfield (Winfield, WV), 10-3, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Patriots clash with the Logan Wildcats (Logan, WV) in a non-league bout, on Monday, April 14. Independence will attempt to advance on its 12-4 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 9-2 record after their 5-4 non-league win over Riverside (Belle, WV).
