The Apache Junction Prospectors the visiting Metro Tech Knights baseball squad by a score of 9-5 in Thursday's non-league outing.

Next up, the Prospectors battle the Florence Gophers (Florence, AZ) in a 3A Central outing, on Tuesday, April 14. Apache Junction will attempt to advance on its 3-10 season record. The Gophers come into the outing with a 16-5 record after their 7-0 non-league win over Hozho Academy (Gallup, NM).

The Knights (4-7) will now prepare for their outing against McClintock (Tempe, AZ). The Chargers come into the 5A Metro outing with a 12-8 record. In their last outing, McClintock was overwhelmed by Alhambra (Phoenix, AZ), 6-2, in a league outing.
