North Stanly Comets (New London, NC) fans left the game pleased Thursday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the host Chester Cyclones (Chester, SC), 12-5 in a non-league match.

With the triumph, North Stanly advances its record to 13-3 on the season. The Comets travel to Sherman (Seth, WV) to battle the Tide in a non-league match on Friday, April 10. The Tide come into the match with a record of 7-2. Sherman lost 3-2 in their recent non-league match against Haverling (Bath, NY)

The Cyclones now have a 5-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Eau Claire for a 2A Region 3 match on Thursday, April 16. Chester will face a Shamrocks team coming off a 17-0 league win over Columbia (Columbia, SC). The Shamrocks record now stands at 4-4.
