The Marist Red Hawks routed the host Lyons Lions softball team by a margin of 7-1 in Thursday's non-league contest.

With the triumph, Marist moves its record to 3-3 on the year. The Red Hawks travel to Minooka (Minooka, IL) to play the Indians in a non-league contest on Saturday, April 12. The Indians come into the contest with a record of 0-1.

In their next game, the Lions play the Queen of Peace Pride (Burbank, IL) in a non-league contest, on Friday, April 11. Lyons will attempt to move on its 3-2 season record. The Pride come into the contest with a 1-3 record after their 3-2 league loss to Regina Dominican (Wilmette, IL).

LaGrange Lions Varsity lost 7-1 to Marist on Thursday at LT (South Campus), despite a total of four hits.

Z Gonzalez got it done in the circle on the way to a win. She allowed one run over seven innings. Z struck out seven, walked two and gave up four hits.

Marist's B Wyderski, B Wilkinson, A Rogers and A Mctlhany combined for 11 hits and six RBIs.

Sapphire Mu?oz couldn't get it done on the rubber for LaGrange Lions Varsity, taking a loss. She lasted just two innings, walked one, struck out none, and allowed no runs.

Marist increased its lead with three runs in the third. B Wyderski singled, bringing home B Wilson to start the inning.

LaGrange Lions Varsity scored its only run of the game on an RBI single by Alexus Pelletiere in the fourth inning.
