April 10, 2023: Riverton, IL 62561 Riverton Hawks (Riverton, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Lutheran Crusaders (Springfield, IL), 10-0 in a non-league test.
With the win, Riverton upgrades its record to 2-6 on the season. The Hawks travel to Illini Central (Mason City, IL) to battle the Cougars in a Sangamo test on Tuesday, April 11. The Cougars come into the test with a record of 0-6. Illini Central lost 15-3 in their recent league test against Williamsville (Williamsville, IL)
With the defeat, Lutheran falls to 2-6 on the season. The Crusaders host New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly (New Berlin, IL) to battle the Vipers in a non-league test on Wednesday, April 12. The Vipers come into the test with a record of 5-1. New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly won 9-5 in their recent league test against Olympia (Stanford, IL)
