East Rowan Mustangs (Salisbury, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host West Stanly Colts (Oakboro, NC), 9-6 in a non-league test.

With the win, East Rowan upgrades its record to 17-1 on the season. The Mustangs travel to South Rowan (China Grove, NC) to battle the Raiders in a South Piedmont 3A test on Friday, April 12. The Raiders come into the test with a record of 9-8. South Rowan won 9-1 in their recent league test against Concord (Concord, NC)

With the defeat, West Stanly falls to 12-3 on the season. The Colts travel to Anson (Wadesboro, NC) to battle the Bearcats in a Rocky River 2A/3A battle on Friday, April 12. The Bearcats enter the battle with a record of 3-9. Anson lost 17-15 in their recent non-league battle against Chesterfield (Chesterfield, SC)
