California High School Softball - Placer holds off Colfax
April 10, 2024: Auburn, CA 95603 Placer Hillmen (Auburn, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Colfax Falcons (Colfax, CA), 9-7 in a non-league challenge.
The Hillmen now own a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they host Lincoln for a challenge on Thursday, April 11. Placer will face a Fighting Zebras squad coming off a 23-8 non-league loss to Sheldon (Sacramento, CA). The Fighting Zebras record now stands at 0-2.
With the loss, Colfax falls to 4-5 on the campaign. The Falcons host Bear River (Grass Valley, CA) to face the Bruins in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 16. The Bruins enter the challenge with a record of 0-5. Bear River lost 15-5 in their recent league challenge against Wheatland (Wheatland, CA)
