North Carolina High School Softball - Forbush gets by East Surry
April 10, 2024: East Bend, NC 27018 The Forbush Falcons (East Bend, NC) softball nipped the visiting East Surry Cardinals (Pilot Mountain, NC), 4-3 in Wednesday's league bout.
The Falcons (9-6) will now prepare for their bout against West Wilkes (Millers Creek, NC). The Blackhawks go into the Foothills 2A bout with a 9-0 record. In their last bout, West Wilkes held off Crest (Shelby, NC), 5-0, in a non-league bout.
The Cardinals now possess a 4-8 record. They play next when they host Wilkes Central for a Foothills 2A bout on Friday, April 12. East Surry will confront a Eagles squad coming off a 15-3 league loss to North Surry (Mount Airy, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 2-7.
