April 10, 2024: Forreston, IL 61030 The Forreston Cardinals softball team scored 20 runs and limited the visiting West Carroll Thunder to 5 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Wednesday.
With the triumph, Forreston moves its record to 3-6 on the year. The Cardinals host Eastland (Lanark, IL) to meet the Cougars in a NUIC South battle on Thursday, April 11. The Cougars go into the battle with a record of 7-2. Eastland won 10-3 in their recent non-league battle against River Ridge/Scales Mound (Hanover, IL)
The Thunder now sport a 0-7 record. They play next when they host Galena for a NUIC West battle on Thursday, April 11. West Carroll will meet a Pirates squad coming off a 8-1 league win over West Carroll (Savanna, IL). The Pirates record now stands at 4-4.
