The crowd at Wednesday's league match between the Mars Fightin' Planets (Mars, PA) and the visiting New Castle Hurricanes (New Castle, PA), saw Mars's softball squad nip New Castle by a count of 9-3.

The Fightin' Planets now sport a 3-6 record. They take the field next when they host Moon Area for a WPIAL 5A 3 match on Friday, April 12. Mars will face a Tigers squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Buckeye (Medina, OH). The Tigers record now stands at 0-3.
