The Cathedral Fighting Irish baseball team scored 6 runs and held the visiting Franklin Central Flashes to 1 in the Fighting Irish non-league win on Thursday.

The Fighting Irish now own a 5-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory for a non-league test on Friday, April 11. Cathedral will play a Braves team coming off a 8-1 non-league win over Carmel (Carmel, IN). The Braves record now stands at 2-1.

With the defeat, Franklin Central drops to 2-3 on the year. The Flashes travel to Decatur Central (Indianapolis, IN) to play the Hawks in a non-league test on Friday, April 11. The Hawks go into the test with a record of 1-3. Decatur Central lost 5-2 in their recent non-league test against North Central (Indianapolis, IN)
