The DeMotte Christian Knights softball team scored 29 runs and restricted the visiting Lake Station Edison Fighting Eagles to 0 in the Knights non-league victory on Thursday.

The Knights (1-1) will now prepare for their match against North Newton (Morocco, IN). The Spartans go into the Midwest match with a 0-1 record. In their last match, North Newton was routed by Wheeler (Valparaiso, IN), 6-2, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Fighting Eagles battle the Whiting Oilers (Whiting, IN) in a Greater South Shore match, on Monday, April 14. Lake Station Edison will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record. The Oilers go into the match with a 2-0 record after their 23-20 non-league win over Hammond Central (Hammond, IN).
