The Hanover Central Wildcats softball squad (Cedar Lake, IN), was edged 8-7 in Friday's non-league contest with the visiting Manteno Panthers (Manteno, IL)

Next, the Panthers clash with the Reed-Custer Comets (Braidwood, IL) in a Illinois Central Eight test, on Monday, April 13. Manteno will attempt to advance on its 6-1 season record. The Comets go into the test with a 8-3 record after their 8-0 non-league win over Dwight (Dwight, IL).

The Wildcats (3-1) will now prepare for their test against Kankakee Valley (Wheatfield, IN). The Kougars go into the Northwest Crossroads test with a 7-2 record. In their last challenge, Kankakee Valley edged Hobart (Hobart, IN), 6-2, in a league challenge.
