Maryland High School Softball - Mountain Ridge nudges Clear Spring
April 11, 2023: Frostburg, MD 21532 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league match between the Mountain Ridge Miners (Frostburg, MD) and the visiting Clear Spring Blazers (Clear Spring, MD), saw Mountain Ridge's softball squad nip Clear Spring by a count of 20-19.
The Miners now sport a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they host Bishop Walsh for a Western Maryland match on Monday, April 17. Mountain Ridge will face a Spartans squad coming off a 16-4 non-league win over Mercersburg Academy (Mercersburg, PA). The Spartans record now stands at 3-1.
With the loss, Clear Spring falls to 0-5 on the campaign. The Blazers host South Hagerstown (Hagerstown, MD) to face the Rebels in a non-league match on Wednesday, April 12. The Rebels enter the match with a record of 6-2. South Hagerstown won 8-3 in their recent league match against North Hagerstown (Hagerstown, MD)
