April 11, 2023: Columbus, WI 53925 Poynette Pumas (Poynette, WI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Columbus Cardinals (Columbus, WI), 3-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Pumas now own a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they host Lakeside Lutheran for a Capitol - North challenge on Thursday, April 13. Poynette will battle a Warriors squad coming off a 12-0 league win over Luther Prep (Watertown, WI). The Warriors record now stands at 1-1.
With the loss, Columbus falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Lodi (Lodi, WI) to battle the Blue Devils in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 13. The Blue Devils enter the challenge with a record of 1-1. Lodi won 1-0 in their recent league challenge against Lake Mills (Lake Mills, WI)
