The Loyd Star Hornets the host West Marion Trojans softball squad by a final score of 3-1 in Thursday's non-league battle.

The Hornets (14-7) will now prepare for their battle against Enterprise (Brookhaven, MS). The Yellowjackets go into the non-league battle with a 11-8 record. In their last battle, Enterprise by West Lincoln (Brookhaven, MS), 7-1, in a non-league battle.
