April 11, 2025: Mapleton, OR 97453 The crowd at Friday's non-league battle between the Elmira Falcons (Elmira, OR) and the host Mapleton/Siuslaw Sailors (Mapleton, OR), witnessed Elmira's baseball team knock off Mapleton/Siuslaw by a count of 6-2.
The Falcons now own a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they host Lowell for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 12. Elmira will clash with a Devils team coming off a 7-3 league win over North Douglas (Drain, OR). The Devils record now stands at 3-3.
With the defeat, Mapleton/Siuslaw drops to 1-6 on the year. The Sailors travel to South Umpqua (Myrtle Creek, OR) to clash with the Lancers in a 3A Far West challenge on Tuesday, April 15. The Lancers go into the challenge with a record of 2-3. South Umpqua lost 10-0 in their recent non-league challenge against North Bend (North Bend, OR)
