Missouri High School Baseball - Parkview loses to Mt. Vernon
April 11, 2025: Mt. Vernon, MO 65712 Mt. Vernon Mountaineers (Mt. Vernon, MO) fans left the game pleased Friday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the visiting Parkview Vikings (Springfield, MO), 9-4 in a non-league match.
With the triumph, Mt. Vernon advances its record to 3-8 on the season. The Mountaineers travel to Neosho (Neosho, MO) to battle the Wildcats in a non-league match on Monday, April 14. The Wildcats come into the match with a record of 12-1. Neosho won 12-8 in their recent league match against Glendale (Springfield, MO)
The Vikings now have a 0-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hillcrest for a Class 5 District 6 match on Monday, April 14. Parkview will battle a Hornets squad coming off a 14-4 non-league win over Ruskin (Kansas City, MO). The Hornets record now stands at 2-5.
