April 11, 2025: Grand Island, NE 68803 Grand Island Islanders (Grand Island, NE) boosters exited the stadium pleased Friday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the visiting Lincoln East Spartans (Lincoln, NE), 2-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Grand Island moves its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Islanders host Lincoln High (Lincoln, NE) to clash with the Links in a test on Saturday, April 19. The Links come into the test with a record of 1-3.
The Spartans now sport a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they host Millard North for a non-league test on Saturday, April 12. Lincoln East will clash with a Mustangs team coming off a 1-0 non-league win over Bellevue West (Bellevue, NE). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-4.
