The Blake Bengals triumphed over the host Gaithersburg Trojans softball squad by a count of 17-5 in Saturday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Bengals play the Magruder Colonels (Rockville, MD) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, April 13. Blake will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record.

The Trojans (2-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Sherwood (Sandy Spring, MD). The Warriors enter the Montgomery County 4A - West challenge with a 9-0 record. In their last challenge, Sherwood overcame Springbrook (Silver Spring, MD), 14-0, in a non-league challenge.
