Ohio High School Softball - Clay Northwest
April 12, 2021: Portsmouth, OH 45662 Clay Panthers (Portsmouth, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Northwest Mohawks (McDermott, OH), 11-8 in a non-league challenge.
The Panthers now own a 7-2 record. They take the field next when they host Waverly for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 13. Clay will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 6-0 league win over Portsmouth West (West Portsmouth, OH). The Tigers record now stands at 1-0.
With the loss, Northwest falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Mohawks travel to Portsmouth West (West Portsmouth, OH) to battle the Senators in a Southern Ohio II challenge on Monday, April 26. The Senators enter the challenge with a record of 5-6.
