Virginia High School Baseball - Auburn wallops Eastside
April 12, 2023: Coeburn, VA 24230 Auburn Eagles (Riner, VA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Eastside Spartans (Coeburn, VA), 15-3 in a non-league test.
With the win, Auburn upgrades its record to 8-1 on the season. The Eagles travel to Galax (Galax, VA) to battle the Maroon Tide in a Mountain Empire test on Friday, April 14. The Maroon Tide come into the test with a record of 6-2. Galax won 15-1 in their recent non-league test against Holston (Damascus, VA)
With the defeat, Eastside falls to 5-2 on the season. The Spartans host J.I. Burton (Norton, VA) to battle the Black Raiders in a Cumberland test on Friday, April 14. The Black Raiders come into the test with a record of 2-2. J.I. Burton won 8-1 in their recent league test against Castlewood (Castlewood, VA)
