Virginia High School Baseball - Maury defeats Edgewood
April 12, 2023: Norfolk, VA 23517 Spectators at Wednesday's non-league battle between the Maury Commodores (Norfolk, VA) and the visiting Edgewood Cougars (Trenton, OH), saw Maury's baseball squad knock off Edgewood by a count of 10-4.
Coming up next, the Commodores play the Canfield Cardinals (Canfield, OH) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, April 13. Maury will attempt to move on its 8-2 season record. The Cardinals enter the battle with a 6-1 record after their 11-10 non-league win over Bishop Ireton (Alexandria, VA).
The Cougars now possess a 0-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mt. Healthy for a Southwest Ohio battle on Monday, April 17. Edgewood will play a Fighting Owls squad coming off a 31-3 league loss to Talawanda (Oxford, OH). The Fighting Owls record now stands at 1-8.
