The SouthWest Edgecombe Cougars (Pinetops, NC) baseball nipped the visiting Faith Christian Patriots (Rocky Mount, NC), 4-3 in Wednesday's non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Cougars play the Christian Brothers Academy Colts (Lincroft, NJ) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, April 13. SouthWest Edgecombe will attempt to better on its 10-3 season record. The Colts enter the contest with a 3-0 record after their 12-2 league win over Freehold Township (Freehold, NJ).

The Patriots now sport a 6-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Arendell Parrott Academy for a non-league contest on Thursday, April 13. Faith Christian will play a Patriots squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Wake Christian Academy (Raleigh, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 11-4.
