The Father McGivney Catholic Griffins topped the visiting Alton Redbirds volleyball team by a score of 2-0 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Griffins now have a 7-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Metro-East Lutheran for a Gateway Metro test on Thursday, April 13. Father McGivney Catholic will confront a Knights team coming off a 2-0 league win over Bunker Hill (Bunker Hill, IL). The Knights record now stands at 4-7.

The Redbirds (9-8) will now prepare for their test against Belleville West (Belleville, IL). The Maroons enter the Southwestern test with a 4-6 record. In their last test, Belleville West was knocked off by Edwardsville (Edwardsville, IL), 2-0, in a league test.
