The Highland Hawks got by the host Desert Ridge Jaguars softball squad by a count of 2-1 in Wednesday's league battle.

The Hawks (10-8) will now prepare for their battle against Queen Creek (Queen Creek, AZ). The Bulldogs go into the 6A Central battle with a 21-1 record. In their last battle, Queen Creek nudged Corona del Sol (Tempe, AZ), 6-0, in a league battle.

The Jaguars now sport a 8-13 record. They play next when they travel to Gilbert for a 6A Central battle on Thursday, April 13. Desert Ridge will meet a Tigers squad coming off a 3-2 league win over Desert Vista (Phoenix, AZ). The Tigers record now stands at 9-9.
