In Wednesday's non-league contest, the Meridian Mustangs (Falls Church, VA) softball team held off the visiting Yorktown Patriots (Arlington, VA), by a margin of 2-1.

With the triumph, Meridian moves its record to 4-2 on the year. The Mustangs host Annandale (Annandale, VA) to play the Atoms in a non-league contest on Monday, April 17. The Atoms come into the contest with a record of 2-6. Annandale lost 13-3 in their recent league contest against Edison (Alexandria, VA)
