In Friday's league challenge, the R-S Central Hilltoppers (Rutherfordton, NC) baseball squad triumphed over the host Polk County Wolverines (Columbus, NC), by a final score of 15-4.

With the win, R-S Central upgrades its record to 15-0 on the season. The Hilltoppers host Patton (Morganton, NC) to encounter the Panthers in a Mountain Foothills 7 1A/2A challenge on Tuesday, April 16. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 7-9. Patton lost 12-1 in their recent league challenge against East Rutherford (Forest City, NC)

With the defeat, Polk County falls to 7-8 on the season. The Wolverines host North Henderson (Hendersonville, NC) to encounter the Knights in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 16. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 11-5.
