Illinois High School Soccer - St. Charles East nudges Notre Dame
April 12, 2024: St. Charles, IL 60174 St. Charles East Fighting Saints (St. Charles, IL) fans were thrilled Friday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Notre Dame Bulldogs (Cape Girardeau, MO), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Fighting Saints confront the Belleville East Lancers (Belleville, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, April 13. St. Charles East will attempt to better on its 8-1 season record. The Lancers enter the challenge with a 7-1 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Saxony Lutheran (Jackson, MO).
The Bulldogs now have a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Charleston for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 13. Notre Dame will confront a Trojans team coming off a 4-1 non-league loss to Carbondale (Carbondale, IL). The Trojans record now stands at 5-6.
