Illinois High School Softball - Hinsdale Central topped by Providence Catholic
April 12, 2024: New Lenox, IL 60451 The Providence Catholic Celtics softball team scored 13 runs and limited the visiting Hinsdale Central Red Devils to 3 in the Celtics non-league triumph on Friday.
With the triumph, Providence Catholic moves its record to 7-3 on the year. The Celtics travel to Resurrection (Chicago, IL) to play the Bandits in a GCAC- Red game on Saturday, April 13. The Bandits come into the game with a record of 6-4. Resurrection won 12-0 in their recent non-league game against Jones (Chicago, IL)
In their next game, the Red Devils play the Oak Park-River Forest Huskies (Oak Park, IL) in a West Suburban - Silver game, on Monday, April 15. Hinsdale Central will attempt to move on its 0-7 season record. The Huskies come into the game with a 11-4 record after their 8-7 non-league loss to St. Charles East (St. Charles, IL).
