In Saturday's non-league game, the host Cypress Springs Panthers baseball team scored a close 6-3 win over the Fort Bend Clements Rangers.

The Panthers (7-17) will now prepare for their game against Waller (Waller, TX). The Bulldogs go into the 6A Region II District 16 game with a 7-16 record. In their last game, Waller nudged Langham Creek (Houston, TX), 10-2, in a league game.

Next, the Rangers play the Fort Bend Elkins Knights (Missouri City, TX) in a 6A Region III District 21 game, on Tuesday, April 15. Fort Bend Clements will attempt to improve on its 13-9 season record. The Knights go into the game with a 13-13 record after their 9-3 league loss to Fort Bend Dulles (Sugar Land, TX).
