In Saturday's non-league bout, the Hays Hawks (Buda, TX) baseball squad overwhelmed the host Seguin Matadors (Seguin, TX), by a tally of 10-3.

Next up, the Hawks encounter the Liberty Hill Panthers (Liberty Hill, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 25 bout, on Tuesday, April 15. Hays will attempt to upgrade on its 17-7 season record. The Panthers enter the bout with a 18-6 record after their 11-8 non-league win over Anderson (Austin, TX).

The Matadors (14-8) will now prepare for their bout against Highlands (San Antonio, TX). The Owls enter the 5A Region IV District 27 bout with a 3-14 record. In their last bout, Highlands was overwhelmed by Jefferson (San Antonio, TX), 16-0, in a league bout.
