The crowd at Saturday's non-league battle between the Payette Pirates (Payette, ID) and the visiting Melba Mustangs (Melba, ID), saw Payette's baseball team gain a win over Melba by a tally of 11-7.

The Pirates (8-7) will now prepare for their battle against Cole Valley Christian (Meridian, ID). The Chargers enter the 4A Snake River Valley battle with a 15-3 record. In their last battle, Cole Valley Christian was overwhelmed by Vallivue (Caldwell, ID), 7-1, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Mustangs face the Nampa Christian Trojans (Nampa, ID) in a 3A Western Idaho battle, on Monday, April 14. Melba will attempt to upgrade on its 7-8 season record. The Trojans enter the battle with a 10-2 record after their 9-6 league win over New Plymouth (New Plymouth, ID).
