Illinois High School Baseball - Midwest Central defeats Varsity Opponent
April 12, 2025: Manito, IL 61546 The Midwest Central Raiders baseball team scored 15 runs and held the visiting Varsity Opponent to 9 in the Raiders non-league win on Saturday.
The Raiders now own a 2-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central for a non-league test on Monday, April 14. Midwest Central will play a Bluejays team coming off a 4-0 non-league win over Triopia (Concord, IL). The Bluejays record now stands at 8-4.
With the defeat, Varsity Opponent drops to 55-157 on the year. The travel to Wayne Valley (Wayne, NJ) to play the Indians in a non-league test on Saturday, April 12. The Indians go into the test with a record of 2-3. Wayne Valley lost 12-5 in their recent league test against West Milford (West Milford, NJ)
