The Starkville Yellowjackets baseball team scored 9 runs and held the visiting West Point Green Wave to 2 in the Yellowjackets non-league win on Saturday.

The Yellowjackets now own a 14-9 record. They take the field next when they host New Hope for a non-league test on Tuesday, April 15.

With the defeat, West Point drops to 8-20 on the year. The Green wave travel to Noxubee County (Macon, MS) to clash with the Tigers in a non-league test on Monday, April 14. The Tigers go into the test with a record of 1-18.
