The Bryan Station Defenders (Lexington, KY) softball nipped the host Boyd County Lions (Ashland, KY), 4-3 in Saturday's non-league outing.

The Defenders now sport a 7-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bath County for a non-league outing on Saturday, April 12. Bryan Station will encounter a Wildcats team coming off a 8-6 league loss to Rowan County (Morehead, KY). The Wildcats record now stands at 6-5.
