Spectators at Tuesday's league match between the DeSoto Central Jaguars (Southaven, MS) and the visiting Tupelo Golden Wave (Tupelo, MS), witnessed DeSoto Central's softball squad tip Tupelo by a count of 6-0.

The Jaguars now sport a 15-7 record. They play next when they travel to Lewisburg for a 6A Region 1 match on Thursday, April 15. DeSoto Central will meet a Patriots squad coming off a 7-3 non-league loss to Northwest Rankin (Brandon, MS). The Patriots record now stands at 13-6.
