New Jersey High School Volleyball - Christian Brothers Academy tips Middletown South
April 13, 2023: Lincroft, NJ 07738 Christian Brothers Academy Colts (Lincroft, NJ) backers left the game in high spirits Thursday as they observed their volleyball squad hold off the visiting Middletown South Eagles (Middletown, NJ), 2-1 in a league match.
Next up, the Colts battle the Scotch Plains-Fanwood Raiders (Scotch Plains, NJ) in a non-league match, on Friday, April 14. Christian Brothers Academy will attempt to better on its 1-2 season record.
With the loss, Middletown South drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Eagles host Jackson Memorial (Jackson Township, NJ) to battle the Jaguars in a non-league match on Friday, April 21. The Jaguars come into the match with a record of 3-0.
Match Summary
The Colts got their 1st W of the season at Home vs. Division opponent Middletown South. CBA had a lot of great rally's and were able to deal with the firepower from Middletown's 2 outside hitters. Alex Taylor had his best game of his varsity career gathering 14 kills. Adam Westrich added a bunch himself, while Liam Crosby paced the Colts defense gathering double digit digs in the effort.
The Colts have a tall task the next day taking on potentially the #1 team in NJ Scotch Plains Fanwood.
