April 13, 2023: Piedmont, SC 29673 In Thursday's league contest, the Woodmont Wildcats (Piedmont, SC) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Hillcrest Rams (Simpsonville, SC), by a margin of 7-2.
With the triumph, Woodmont moves its record to 7-1 on the year. The Wildcats host T.L. Hanna (Anderson, SC) to play the Yellow Jackets in a AAAAA Region 1 contest on Monday, April 17. The Yellow Jackets come into the test with a record of 2-5. T.L. Hanna lost 7-2 in their recent non-league test against Pendleton (Pendleton, SC)
The Rams (2-4) will now prepare for their test against Mauldin (Mauldin, SC). The Mavericks come into the AAAAA Region 1 test with a 1-5 record. In their last test, Mauldin edged Eastside (Taylors, SC), 19-11, in a non-league test.
