Kentucky High School Softball - Simon Kenton holds off Pendleton County
April 13, 2023: Independence, KY 41051 Simon Kenton Pioneers (Independence, KY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Pendleton County Wildcats (Falmouth, KY), 4-2 in a non-league challenge.
The Pioneers now own a 10-3 record. They take the field next when they host Male for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 15. Simon Kenton will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 11-0 non-league win over Atherton (Louisville, KY). The Bulldogs record now stands at 10-2.
With the loss, Pendleton County falls to 8-5 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Ryle (Union, KY) to battle the Raiders in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 15. The Raiders enter the challenge with a record of 6-3. Ryle won 18-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Newport (Newport, KY)
