April 13, 2024: East Greenwich, RI 02818 East Greenwich Avengers (East Greenwich, RI) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting Coventry Oakers (Coventry, RI), 7-6 in a non-league test.
With the win, East Greenwich upgrades its record to 2-4 on the season. The Avengers travel to Burrillville (Harrisville, RI) to battle the Broncos in a Division 2 test on Monday, April 15. The Broncos come into the test with a record of 2-2. Burrillville won 14-10 in their recent league test against Woonsocket (Woonsocket, RI)
With the defeat, Coventry falls to 1-4 on the season. The Oakers host Cranston East (Cranston, RI) to battle the Thunderbolts in a Division 1 (State) test on Tuesday, April 16. The Thunderbolts come into the test with a record of 2-2. Cranston East won 9-0 in their recent league test against La Salle Academy (Providence, RI)
