In Saturday's non-league test, the visiting Vernon Hills Cougars lacrosse squad scored a tight 7-6 victory over the Carmel Corsairs.

The Cougars now sport a 3-5 record. They play next when they travel to Riverside-Brookfield for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 16. Vernon Hills will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 7-6 non-league loss to Oak Forest (Oak Forest, IL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 5-3.

The Corsairs (1-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Marist (Chicago, IL). The RedHawks enter the challenge with a 8-1 record.
