April 13, 2024: Ashland, KY 41102 In Saturday's non-league contest, the Blazer Tomcats (Ashland, KY) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Huntington Highlanders (Huntington, WV), by a margin of 11-0.
With the triumph, Blazer moves its record to 5-5 on the year. The Tomcats host Belfry (Belfry, KY) to play the Pirates in a non-league contest on Saturday, April 13. The Pirates come into the contest with a record of 6-4. Belfry won 15-0 in their recent non-league contest against Martin County (Inez, KY)
In their next game, the Highlanders play the Capital Cougars (Charleston, WV) in a Mountain State contest, on Monday, April 15. Huntington will attempt to move on its 0-13 season record. The Cougars come into the contest with a 0-9 record after their 10-0 non-league loss to Nitro (Nitro, WV).
