April 13, 2024: Petrolia, TX 76377 Spectators at Saturday's league match between the Petrolia Pirates (Petrolia, TX) and the visiting Olney Cubs (Olney, TX), witnessed Petrolia's softball squad prevail over Olney by a count of 20-5.
The Pirates now sport a 8-7 record. They play next when they travel to Graford for a 2A Region II District 9 match on Tuesday, April 16. Petrolia will meet a Rabbits squad coming off a 16-6 league win over Chico (Chico, TX). The Rabbits record now stands at 17-2.
With the loss, Olney moves to 1-14 on the season. The Cubs host Perrin-Whitt (Perrin, TX) to meet the Pirates in a 2A Region II District 9 match on Tuesday, April 16. The Pirates go into the match with a record of 0-6.
