Illinois High School Softball - Ottawa bounces Yorkville Christian
April 13, 2024: Ottawa, IL 61350 Ottawa Pirates (Ottawa, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Yorkville Christian Mustangs (Yorkville, IL), 11-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Pirates now sport a 11-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Kaneland for a Interstate Eight challenge on Monday, April 15. Ottawa will face a Knights squad coming off a 2-1 league loss to Morris (Morris, IL). The Knights record now stands at 2-4.
With the loss, Yorkville Christian falls to 2-5 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Providence Catholic (New Lenox, IL) to face the Celtics in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 15. The Celtics enter the challenge with a record of 8-3. Providence Catholic won 15-4 in their recent league challenge against Resurrection (Chicago, IL)
