In Thursday's league game, the host Combs Coyotes baseball team scored a tight 11-6 victory over the Apache Junction Prospectors.
The Coyotes (6-16) will now prepare for their game against Newport Harbor (Newport Beach, CA). The Sailors go into the non-league game with a 3-12 record. In their last game, Newport Harbor was overwhelmed by Los Alamitos (Los Alamitos, CA), 8-0, in a league game.
