The Carson Cougars routed the visiting Concord Spiders softball squad by a final score of 18-3 in Monday's league battle.

The Cougars (9-6) will now prepare for their battle against Northwest Cabarrus (Concord, NC). The Trojans go into the South Piedmont challenge with a 3-13 record. In their last challenge, Northwest Cabarrus was routed by Hickory Ridge (Harrisburg, NC), 5-4, in a league challenge.

With the loss, Concord falls to 0-17 on the campaign. The Spiders host West Rowan (Mt. Ulla, NC) to battle the Falcons in a South Piedmont challenge on Thursday, April 17. The Falcons enter the challenge with a record of 11-4. West Rowan won 8-3 in their recent league challenge against East Rowan (Salisbury, NC)
