Spectators at Friday's non-league battle between the Isle of Wight Academy Chargers (Isle of Wight, VA) and the visiting The New Community School Sabers (Richmond, VA), saw Isle of Wight Academy's baseball squad knock off The New Community School by a count of 10-2.

Coming up next, the Chargers play the Christchurch School Seahorses (Christchurch, VA) in a VISAA Virginia Independent battle, on Tuesday, April 18. Isle of Wight Academy will attempt to move on its 6-3 season record. The Seahorses enter the battle with a 1-5 record after their 11-1 non-league loss to Steward (Richmond, VA).

The Sabers now possess a 6-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Kenston Forest for a Virginia Colonial battle on Monday, April 17.
